Located smack dab in the middle of our beautiful country, lies Take A Hike Shop. We are blessed to be across the street from the 300 mile long Katy Trail, full of bikers and hikers. The rent is cheap for our historic little building and we have a great warehouse outback. In 2015 we rolled the dice and quit our day jobs in pursuit of our passion for the outdoors. Our goal is to bridge the gap between great online pricing and old school mountain shop customer service, we truly add a personal touch that is unsurpassed! Whether you reach out to us via email, phone, or our super-sweet text line, the actual owners of the shop - along with a few awesome employees, answer your questions 24 hours a day/7 days a week, in hopes of becoming your "go to" shop for years to come...

How so cheap you ask? The answer… crazy low overhead. There's just a few of us here grinding it out, plus we built our own website and designed our own graphics. We create our own ads, make our own signs, clean our own windows, the list goes on and on. It all works quite well and saves you a ton of cash!  We don't stock a bunch of boring entry level bikes or gimmicky camping gear, we only stock the stuff you want right now, and we price it to move!
